Sandra A. Fitch (nee Armstrong), age 80, of Hebron, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023. She was born on June 13, 1943 in Hammond, IN to John and Orrie (nee Granger) Armstrong.
On August 24, 1963, Sandra married Wilbert “Skeets” Fitch, who survives along with their daughters: Deborah (Daniel) Armin, Kathy (Tim) Johnson, April Staniewicz, Vicki (Phil) Boldyn and Erin Fitch; sister, Constance Ripley; grandchildren: Cassandra Armin, Madeleine Johnson, Isabel Johnson, Michael (Mollie) Staniewicz, Emily (Kyle) Cardinal, Ryan Boldyn, Mark Boldyn, Anna Boldyn, Jack Boldyn, Ben Kenda and Josh Kenda; great grandchildren: Connor Staniewicz, Quinn Staniewicz, Cameron Cardinal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents: John and Orrie Armstrong; siblings: John Armstrong, Jr., Lucille Tappen, George Armstrong, and Faye Payton.
Sandra was a devoted mother to her five daughters. She loved spending time with her family more than anything. Sandra was so proud of all her grandchildren and their accomplishments. She enjoyed meeting her childhood friends for coffee weekly, spending time in her flower beds over the summer and working on puzzles in the winter. Sandra retired from Carson Pirie Scott & Co. in 2008. Sandra will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Geisen Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 624 N. Main St., Hebron, IN 46341 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
