Every other year or so, for the last 50+ years or so, my phone would ring at various times in the day or night - depending on where I was in the world at the time - and it would that same raspy voice asking me how I was doing! “Just Cking on the Marines,” he’d say, followed by updates on his folks - quasi parents to many of us in the class of 67 - his sister Abby, his dog, but always our hometown, Crown Point! When the few opportunities came to visit CP, the trip would always include a knock on Ryan’s Door! Those calls and visits will no longer put a smile on my face, or my uncontrollable laughter after listening to one of his memorable stories of our youth…But the memory of his lifelong friendship will never be forgotten! Will miss you buddy. Rest in peace and Semper Fidelis! Wilkie sends.

I have known Ryan since we were little children. We both went to the First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point. Was in Sunday School with him. We went on to CPHS and both were in band together and went down to State and won 1st place in 1965. Graduated in 1967. We had a band reunion in 2010 to celebrate our victory we had in 1965. We had never celebrated when we came back home in 1965. We have been friends for a very long time and I surely well miss him. Sending my love and sympathies to his wife Deb and family. God Bless.

Debbie and family, so sorry to learn of Ryan's passing. He was an old soul who loved his family and Crown Point. He was especially kind to my Aunt Ida Krieter over the years. I'm sure there is a big reunion in heaven with all the Knights and Lamsons. Hugs to all of you.
