RUTH KAMINCHAK, age 90 of Gary, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013. Survived by daughter Judy Ruth Kaminchak of Gary; family in Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida; her beloved canine: Summer; close family friend: Jim Marsh. Preceded in death by husband George Kaminchak, Sr. and son George Kaminchak, Jr. Ruth was born in 1922 in Minnesota and tragically orphaned at 1 ½ years of age. She was then brought to the East Side of Chicago to be raised by first cousin John Ballman and his mother. 5 ½ years ago Ruth and Judy rescued their dog Summer as a puppy.
