Rosemary Bade

ROSEMARY BADE (NEE ANTICH) age 80 of Hobart formerly of Merrillville passed away Saturday evening January 1 2011. She is survived by two sons: Dr. Daniel Bade of St. John and Douglas (Suzanne) Bade of Kenilworth daughter-in-law: Violet Bade of Crown Point grandchildren: Hillary Lauren Benjamin Tanja and Deanna brother: John (Mary Jane) Antich of Grovertown IN and many nieces nephews great-grandchildren and relatives. Preceded in death by her husband Michael Bade son: David Bade brothers: Robert BobAntich and Joseph Antich parents: Petar and Ana Antich of Gary. Rosemary was active in local politics throughout her life. She served as the chief deputy of the Lake County Clerk before her retirement from Lake County government. Rosemary was elected as a local precinct committeperson for multiple terms as well as elected to the Ross Township Advisory Board. Rosemary has always been proud of her heritage and was an active member of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America Lodge 170 where she served as the Lodge secretary/treasurer for 18 years and actively played Croatian tamburitza music. She was also a member and active supporter of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church. She was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School. Friends and Family may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville on Wednesday January 5 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday January 6 2011 Directly at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church 9191 Mississippi St Merrillville with Fr. Marko Matic officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville. Memorial donations may be made to The Croatian Fraternal Union of America (scholarship fund) or to The Lake Area United Way

Our sympathies to Bade family at this time of pain over the loss of beautiful Rosemary. We will remember Rosemary fondly especially the wonderful trip we took together to Australia and New Zealand.
