I would like to express my sympathies to Ron's family. I worked with Ron at Potlatch in Benton Harbor. He was a Great man and always had a smile and a nice word to share with you. He was a true outdoorsman and shared many a story with me. He is a very positive memory for me. Mark Hartman
Martin Spears left a message on January 6, 2008:
My thoughts and prayers go out to Bob, John and the rest of their family. I know that they are going through a very rough time because I went through the same thing when I lost my brother back in June of last year. I always thought of Ron as a father figure. Hearing all the stories about the hunting trips to Allegan over the years about him and his sons and friends that he had and experiencing new things around home. Like getting the first banded goose and a banded duck in southwestern michigan other than going to Allegan to get one. A first for us anyway. He will be greatly missed by a lot of people but most of all by me. He was a great Man, husband, and Father. It was a great pleasure to know him.
