Roberta J. Prasco

Roberta J. Prasco (nee Phillips), age 90, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Roberta is survived by her son, Tory Prasco and his significant other, DeeDee Emery; grandchildren: Lexi Prasco and her significant other, Danny O’Connor, Joey Prasco, Annie Prasco; granddog, Charlie Brown; sister, Mildred (late Andy) Hanczaryk; and her many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Victor J. Prasco; parents: Cecil and Ada Phillips; brothers, Ellie Hugh, Carl and Rufus Phillips; sister, Lillie Mae Kinard; and many beloved friends.

Roberta was a faithful and longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She met the love of her life, Victor J. Prasco in Sumter, SC in 1955. They married on June 16, 1956 in Gary, IN and began their love story together. Roberta assisted with Vic’s public accounting practice for 50 years, which allowed them to travel across the U.S. for conferences. She was a member of Innsbrook Country Club and loved reading a good book, watching Hallmark movies, enjoying a glass of Chardonnay, and babysitting Charlie Brown. Roberta enjoyed watching IU Basketball, but more importantly, any sport her beloved grandchildren played. She was treasured by all who knew and loved her.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 101 W. Burrell Dr., Crown Point, IN 46307 with Fr. Kevin Huber officiating.

Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Roberta’s name to Andrean High School or St. Mary Catholic School.
