I just found this, and what a wonderful outpouring of memories and condolences to Bob!!!. I only knew Bob from high school at Andrean, we had a couple classes together. Back then Bob's hair was "blond" . beyond that, lost touch with him, but a really great person always had that little "smile" on his face, very much an approachable person very friendly.......... My condolences to his family and friends. Henry

My deepest condolences for all of Bob's family. I grew up with the Mazzaro children so many years ago. My parents, Norm & Mary Pollitt were very close friends with Lou & Evelyn as well as Hank & Mary Joss, Evelyn's sister. Hank was responsible for beginning the McDonald's legacy for the family. I have many fond memories of Lou & Evelyn & all their children. Bob is gone too young as were his sisters! My brothers, Larry & Steve Pollitt and I are so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

Please accept my sympathies for your loss. Mr. Mazzaro was very generous to my church years ago in providing hamburgers for a community event. We were very grateful. We discovered in our meeting that I had gone to elementary school in Gary with his sister Joni. I was sorry to read that she, too, has passed.

My deepest condolences to Bob's family and friends. Bob was such a wonderful and caring individual who always loved to help out in the community. He was an avid supporter of our local schools, always so thoughtful and generous with his donations and support. I had the pleasure of working with him through the School Town of Munster's PTO and most recently the Munster High School Spirit Committee. Bob would proudly deliver donations and chat with the teachers and staff. He truly respected all that the teachers do and was happy to be part of their celebrations. What a kind and generous man. Rest in peace, Bob, the Munster community won't be the same without you.
