Robert C. “Bob” Dulla, age 74, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022.
Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Dulla (nee Henderson); two children: Heather (Paul) Minekus and Ryan (Angela) Dulla; six grandchildren: Joshua, Anya and Ella Minekus, Dylan Cakora, Bo and Layla Dulla; brother, William “Bill” (Lorraine) Dulla; uncle, Don (late Rita) Pasternak; two nephews: Jim (Cathy) Dulla, Jon (Michelle) Dulla; niece, Kathy (Shawn) Pettit; and many good friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents: William and Alice Dulla.
Bob was a graduate of Gary Edison High School, Class of 1966 and was a mechanical analyst with U.S. Steel for many years. He was a faithful member of the Anglican Church of St. Andrew. Bob was an avid golfer and played in the golf leagues at Indian Ridge and did bowling leagues at Cressmor Lanes. He enjoyed mushball leagues and coached his son’s baseball teams throughout his youth. Bob enjoyed the relaxing times of fishing with his family. He used to race his ’55 Chevy at U.S. 30 back in the day and cruised his 426 Hemi through town. Bob’s favorite sports teams were Notre Dame football, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
Bob fought a hard battle with Lewy Body Dementia for over four years and small cell carcinoma over the last year. Throughout it all, he never complained and was the most kind and gracious man you could meet. Bob loved his wife, kids and grandkids to the moon and back. He will be greatly missed.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN. 46307, from 9:30 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 PM with Rev. Chris Perez officiating. Interment to follow at Mosier Cemetery in Valparaiso, IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Bob’s name to the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Department of Mayo Clinic, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905.
