Richard L. Williams Sr. , age 63, of Crown Point, IN. passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point, IN. He is survived by his wife Brenda Daughter: Angela Daley of Carol Stream, IL Son: Richard Kim Williams Jr. of West Linn, Oregon Grandchildren: Erica, Elizabeth, Jay & Brittany Lodovisi Grandchildren: Justin & Madison Williams Sisters: Lovena John Handley of Crown Point Mary John Valles of Shelbyville, IN Sandra Eaton of Demotte, IN. Brothers: Robert Mona Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada Harvey Dianna Williams Jr. of Crown Point Jan Marty Williams of Longview, WA Brother-in-law: Thel Shirley Boykin of Lanham, Maryland He was preceded in Death by Parents: Harvey & Lovene Funeral and Legion Services will be held Monday, June 14, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Geisen Funeral Home, Crown Point with Rev. Beverly Biehr officiating. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Friends may call at Geisen Funeral Home, 109 N. East St., Crown Point on Sunday, June 13, 2004 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Mr Williams was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of the Fred Schmidt American Legion Post #20 Crown Point for 24 years; Teamsters Union Local 142 for 42 years; employed at Thatcher Engineering for 34 1/2 years. Richard coached Crown Point youth activities including Little League, Babe Ruth, Senior Babe Ruth, Bitty Basketball, and Panther Football. He was also a member of several local Men's Golf Leagues. In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the American Lung Association.
