Raymond Champlin age77 of Crown Point, IN passed away Monday, May 3, 2004 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point, IN He is survived by his wife Geraldine of 52 years Daughter: Madeline Michael Schaller of Crete, IL Sons: Raymond Mary Champlin of Flossmoor, IL Gregory Nancy Champlin of Homewood, IL Garrett Jennifer Champlin of Yarmouth, Maine Grandchildren: Rachael & Aaron Hartman Christopher, Emily & Julia Champlin Justin & Austin Champlin Jack, Kelley & Katie Champlin Sister-in-law: Caryl Champlin of Louisville, KY Brother-in-law: Jim Mansmann of Matteson, IL Preceded in death by Brother: Herbert Champlin Sister: Dorothy Mansmann Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 1:00 PM from Geisen Funeral Home, Crown Point followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at St. Matthias Catholic Church 101 E. Burrell Dr. Crown Point with Fr. Edward Kennedy officiating. Services will conclude at the church with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the Geisen Funeral Home 109 N. East St. Crown Point on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Prayer service at 7:30 PM. Mr. Champlin was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church and past member of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Flossmoor, IL. He retired form Haarman & Reimer in New Jersey. He was a member of the Institute of Food Technologist; Perfumery, Soap & Extract Association of Chicago; former President of Chicago Drug and Chemical Association; former President of Midwest Industrial Chemical Salesman Association. Geri, My thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

We will miss Ray very much, having been blessed with his friendship and love. He was truly a kind man who was always ready with a laugh, joke, hug or a wonderful compliment. We do find comfort in knowing he will not suffer any longer and that he was blessed in living out his life in the comfort of his home with his devoted and loving wife. Thanks Geri for being our friends.

To all our dear friends, Thank you all for your precious rememberences and celebration of dear Ray's life. Ray loved life and loved his family and all his friends. Dear Geri, We are so saddened to hear of Ray's passing. He merely had to look at me with a twinkle in his eye and chuckle to make my day. We enjoyed our years as neighbors on E. Royal as well as times we shared at St. Mike's parish, Remus. You are already missed here in our loving Canadian Lakes community and in our Bible Study group at the Alpine Haus.
