My deepest condolences. I hired in the Sheet Mill Annealing in 1953 at the age of 19. Pete was a furnace man and broke me in as an assistant. Pete was 41 at the time and must have retired in 1977. I remember him always being of sound character and never having a harsh word to say about anyone. I'm most happy to see that he lived a full life.

April 5, 2005 To the Family of Peter A. Obert Dear Family, The Lake County Recorder?s office wishes to extend to you our most heartfelt sympathy during the loss of your loved one. Peter A. Obert will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Our consolation lies in the fact that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We know that he was one of God?s own, and so we celebrate his homegoing. He has been given a new, heavenly body that will enter into the presence of the Lord and rejoice among the angels. While we recognize that you are experiencing a time of profound loss and sorrow. Proverbs 3:5-6 states ?Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.? Please remember that God can, God will, and it is up to us to accept what He does. To the family of Peter A. Obert, may the Lord bless you and comfort you. We, the Lake County Recorder?s office, pray that God will ease the pain of your loss through the good memories of his life with you and the legacy that Peter A. Obert leaves behind. Respectfully submitted, Michael A. Brown, Lake County Recorder
