NINA MARLER age 84 of Ogden Dunes formerly of Merrillville passed away Thursday January 22 2009 Survived by daughter Nina (Peter) Maimonis of Mt. Prospect IL son William (Barbara) Marler of Bolingbrook IL granddaughter Alexis Maimonis of Mt. Prospect IL sister Sonia (Joe) Ferncez of FL sister-in-law Thelma Bobrick of FL and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Monroe Aland brother William Bobrick. Nina was the co-owner of Steel City Bedding in Gary and later Merrillville with her husband. She was a violinist with the N.W.I. Symphony and the LaPorte Symphony and also played with the Ross Summer Music Theatre. She was a member of the Ogden Dunes Garden Club the Ladies Auxiliary of the Merrillville Optimist Club and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #430. Nina was a graduate of Emerson High School Class of 1943. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 2700 Willowcreek Rd. Portage Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday January 26 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Deacon Robert Bonta officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimers Association: 9135 N. Meridian St. Ste. B-4 Indianapolis IN 46209-7109.

Dear Nina and Bill I just learned from my cousin Pam about your Mothers passing. My love and prayers go out to both of you. I have such fond memories of your Mom and Dad. I especially remember spending the holidays at your house with all the great food and laughter. It was like being at home except I was with my Russian family. I just learned about your Fathers passing and now your Mom. I know they are now happy being together and dancing with grace and ease. My love and deepest sympathy to you and your family.
