MITCHELL MIKEGEOKAS age 81 of Portage passed away Thursday February 26 2009. Survived by son Michael Geokas of Portage brother-in-law Ken McKenzie of Valejo CA cousins the Schiralli and Paris families including: Victor Schiralli of Merrillville Sam Schiralli of Ft. Myers FL Mr. and Mrs. George Nissan of Crown Point many nieces and nephews many dear friends: Dorothy Anderson JW (Red) Martin of Hobart Ed Gottschling of Portage William Koveck of Portage Richard Green of Highland Chas Trout of Michigan City Bob Gardner of Michigan City Craig and Connie McGlinn of Greenfield IN Sharon Vode of Hobart IN. Preceded in death by wife Doris in 2002. Mike was a member of Protection of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church. He was a graduate of Tolleston High School Class of 1944. He was a retired glazer from Local 82 and was a Bailiff of the Gary City Court serving Judge Richard Kaplin. Mike was a WWII Army veteran and was a member of VFW Post 1563 and American Legion Post 100. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 2700 Willowcreek Rd.
