Mikel Dean Chronister, age 53, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
Mikel is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gena M. Chronister; children: Ryan (Ashley) Chronister and Zachary Chronister; brothers: Bruce (Lisa) Chronister and Brian Chronister; and his nieces, nephews and good friends.
Mikel was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Judy Chronister; grandmothers: Gladys Chronister and Emma Lovan.
Mikel was a graduate of Morton High School, Class of 1987. He was a salesman with LB Steel in Harvey, IL with over 34 years of service. Mikel was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He also loved muscle cars, especially the Ford Mustangs. Mikel mostly enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
A Celebration of Mikel’s Life will be held at a later date and he will be laid to rest with his parents in Willow Springs, MO.
