MICHAEL P. SOSH, age 83 of Fort Wayne; formerly of Gary, passed away Wednesday, January 02, 2013. Survived by wife Jane of 58 years; 3 children: Michael (Sherry) Sosh of Portage, Susan (Dan) Konopacki of Ft. Wayne, & Matthew Sosh of Portage; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister Annie Brehm of Kansas; and brother-in-law Thomas (Sue) Ward of Crown Point. Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Mr. Sosh was a former member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Froebel High School and received his Masters Degree from Ball State University. Mr. Sosh was a retired school teacher and coach from Lew Wallace High School for over 25 years. He was also a Korean War Navy veteran. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (5885 Harrison St., Merrillville) with Rev. Andrew Corona officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery.

Dear Jane, I just received my Ball State Alum Magazine and read of Mike's death. On behalf of Glenn and myself, I send our deepest condolences! I have been thinking of you for the past several weeks and wondering how you were getting along. I knew that Mike had been ill the last time we talked, but I think that was a few years ago. I would love to talk with you - my phone #'s are 714-635-6686 and cell: 713-624 - 1928. May all of the many marvelous memories you and your family have of Mike, far surpass the pain of not having his earthly presence. When you are missing him so, just look Heavenwardly, and see him walking Hand-in-Hand with God, with a smile on his face.
