I worked with Mike at the prison for 10+ years. I have heard him talk of all his family-he loved you all dearly. I also had the privelage to see him perform with his Barber Shop Chorus for valentines day once-we all loved it! He was always laughing and helping someone... I will miss him dearly-but I am so glad he was a part of my life- He came to my only sons baby shower and 1st birthday. What a great guy..

Loosing someone you love is not easy to endure. The love and support of friends and family is a wonderful help. The promises of God's word gives us hope. At Acts 24:15 it says: "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." What that means for the future can bring true comfort.

We have known Michael for many years and have enjoyed sharing our barbershop hobby with each other. Many good times and a lot of good telephone talk. Our lives have taken us to central Tenn. so we haven't seen each other for several months. We have talked on the telephone, as we always did, and promised to do dinner together the next time we were back in northwest Indiana. Guess we'll have to wait a bit longer to do that. Loved Michael and enjoyed being with him. We will miss him. Sincerely, Brenda and Bill Carbon

My favorite memory of Mike was when I was about 12 years old. There was an open grate bridge over a creek on the gravel road between Sewell's and Gregory's. I was the only kid whose horse would not cross the bridge, so I had to go through Gregory's pasture to join the group. One day Mike saw it and came to help. He told me to get off, grabbed the reins, made my horse back onto the bridge, and made her stand in the middle of the bridge unitl she calmed down. He told me to get on and made her back across the bridge a couple of times. Then he instructed me back her across the bridge. This was the method I used for a while, and eventually my horse crossed the bridge without my having to get off or go backwards. Thanks, Mike, for helping me with my horse.

Mike sold me the best horse I ever owned, Go Coguard. This horse taught me many things and then went onto become a therapy horse for a few years. He came home to spend his last few years with me. Am sorry to hear about Mike's death. You are in my prayers. Ruth Claus-Wilke
