Mary “Pat” Jenkins (nee Ferguson), age 96, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023.

Pat is survived by her children: Anne Marie (late Harold) Jenkins Holler, Carmel (Tim) Jenkins Kirby, Kevin (Cynthia) Jenkins, Mary Kathleen (Todd) Jenkins Maatman; grandchildren: Alicia Veile, Rebecca (Lenny) Cribari, Melissa (Rick) Matusak, late Zachary (Mindy) Holler, Kerri Kirby, Kevin (Lily Chandrasekher) Jenkins, Justin Jenkins, Chad (Taryne) Maatman, Kaitlin (Spencer) Douglas, Dawn (Adrian) Hernandez, Renee Blissett, Rachel Blissett, Robbin Mosley, Ronald (Christina) Blissett, Roger (Stephanie) Blissett, Tony Blissett; 30 great-grandchildren; siblings: Colin (late Barbara and Irene) Ferguson, Joan (Brian) Clare, Kevin (Cathy) Ferguson, Rita (Clem) Sliwa; and sister-in-law, Sally Ferguson.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, David Jenkins; siblings: Anthony (Columba) Ferguson, Fran (Allen) Mossell, Anne Ferguson; and grandsons: Patrick Holler, Zachary Holler.

Pat was a devoted member of the Catholic faith. She grew up in Liverpool, England and immigrated to Harvey, IL in 1961. Pat had a gift of empathy, her ability to relate to people from all walks of life, and passion to listen and purvey God’s gift of love through an open ear and heart. Pat was very musically inclined and loved to entertain and dance. Pat was the most amazing mother, grandmother, great grandma, and was adored by all. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Funeral Prayers will be at the Funeral Home on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 9:15 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 E. Joliet St., Crown Point, IN 46307 with Fr. Kevin Huber officiating.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, IL.

How do I Obit my sister Pat? Mary Patricia (Ferguson) Jenkins, of Liverpool, U.K. was the beloved Matriarch of both the Jenkins & Ferguson North American Families. She was the wonderful beloved Spouse, Mother, Gma, GGMa, and also Daughter of Patrick and Queenie. Last week I saw her smile 3 times and laugh once as she mouthed "I love You" to her family. Pat had a strong faith, and was an inspiration to us all as she calmly waited to be Greeted by her late husband David. She was very proud of, and enjoyed her family, they are proof of her successful life. We loved Pat coming back here to see her treasured Liverpool, England. Her big heart, those bright smiling eyes, her infectious vitality inspired us all. She could light up any room, reciting from memory, her lovely poems, with a twinkle in her eye. For her strong faith, she will be near to God for ever. God bless her..
