Sending sincere thoughts and prayers to your family! I worked with Susan a long time ago at Western Pancake House. Remember visiting her home and her mom was soooo sweet, feed me and just made you feel happy. It’s been many years but every time I drive 73rd Ave., I think of both Susan and her mom, big hugs! ( love to reconnect, e mail me if you’d like)

My heartfelt condolences to the Kapitan Family. Losing a Mom is something you never heal from but the grief gets easier as time goes by and you find that you can laugh remembering the fun times. My vision is that Auntie Anne, my Mom, and your Mom are sitting at a kitchen table in heaven gossiping in Slovak. (Of course they're speaking Slovak so us "kids" can't figure out what they're talking about. The Kasper sisters reunited! Depend on one another to get through the tough days ahead. She was one great lady! Love, Cousin Jane

Please accept my sympathy on the passing of Mary. My mother, Anne Wagner Vargo, was her first cousin. My grandfather, John Wagner, lived next door to Joseph & Anna (Wagner) Kasper on John Street in Whiting & my mom would always talk about the great fun they had as kids playing in the neighborhood. I met with Mary 3 or 4 times to talk about & share photos of the Wagner & Kasper families, as I am working on the Wagner family history. Mary was a great source of information about both families. I hope her children will continue her work in preserving the Kasper/Kapitan story for future generations. I will not be able to attend the visitation or mass but will remember Mary in my prayers. Take care & may Mary's soul rest in peace.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
