MARTIN MRAK, age 62 of Michigan City; formerly of Portage, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Martin is survived by his wife of 44 years Darlene “Mickie” Mrak; son Martin Mrak, Jr., daughter Kelly Salcedo; three grandchildren: Caressa Mrak, Addison Salcedo, Alex Salcedo; brother Michael (Toy) Mrak; and his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Michael & Dolores Mrak. Marty was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church. He served his country in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Bricklayer Local #4 for 37 years. Marty was a free-spirited loving man who had a great sense of humor. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (2700 Willowcreek, Portage) on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. DIRECTLY from Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church (2949 Willowcreek, Portage) with Rev. Andrew Corona officiating. There will be visitation at the church a half hour prior to the Mass. Cremation will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude House.
