She is survived by her three children: Kim (Don) Kilander, Scott Coker, Mindy (Ky) Badgley; three grandchildren: Whitney (Arunas) Slepikas, Bree Coker, Cameron Coker; two step-grandchildren: Kelli (Brian) Bos and Nathan (Sarah) Kilander; two great step-grandchildren: Kadence and Colten Bos: brother Jack (Aileen) Seitzinger; “daughter at heart” Brenda Aliff; her in-laws: Roy Neeley, Jerry (Betty) Coker, Billy Coker, Janice Coker; many loving nieces and nephews; and her dogs Ruby & Reggie. Preceded in death by her husband Donald; son Steven Coker; sister Patty Neeley; parents: John & Ruby Seitzinger.
Mrs. Coker attended Southlake Church of the Nazarene and was a former longtime member of Real Life Community Church. She was very active in women’s ministries and worked in the church nursery, where she cared for the babies. Marilyn and Don were foster parents to many children over the years. After almost 58 years of marriage, they were only separated in death for 10 days and 14 hours.
Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (2700 Willowcreek, Portage) on Tuesday from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Dr. Lenny Wisehart officiating. At rest McCool Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Southlake Church of the Nazarene.
