Maria was a gracious and tender-hearted soul. She was such a delight to work with in HISD and had a kind word every time we met at meetings. I was shocked to find out Maria has transitioned. She will be remembered with very fond memories; her smile, light-heartedness, singing carefree songs, and just loving life. Though we lost touch when she retired, I will miss her. She was a lovely person who truly cared for people. Adios Maria. May the Lord console you, Mr. Bamiagis and Children, as only He can. Amen.

Mr. Bamiagis and family, No one needs to tell you of the special lady Ms. Maria was. Though I knew her only a short time, her grace, dignity and beauty was exceptional. I have you in my prayers. Know that her teachings of love continue to bless us even in her loss.

Even though I had not talked to Maria in the last year, I always thought of her being there. Knowing that she was sick without me knowing and that shes now gone and I never got to talk to her is killing me. I hope shes resting in peace and look forward to seeing her again sometime. She will always be one very influential person in my life. Your phrase "You do what you can" will always be with me. ;-) Miss you, Maria!

Bamiagis Family, Im not sure if you remember me, but Ill never forget you, Maria and family. I helped with care when she was in Dyer. I know we only crossed paths for a short time and the circumstances were dire, but meeting you has impacted me in such a profound way. To witness such a rare and pure love was truly a gift. From the first day you came to us at Dyer, I honestly left that night feeling thunderstruck. Id never witnessed a more devoted and loving family. My deepest condolences on your loss. May you lean on and see each other through this.
