Marcella Ratcliffe, age 97 of Lansing, IL formerly of Michigan City, IN passed away on
Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Dyer Nursing & Rehab in Dyer, IN. Marcella was born on February
20, 1924 in Dayton, OH to Anthony and Gertrude (Werling) Siebert.
Marcella is survived by her daughters, Kim (Mark) Glasgow and Susan Sulski; grandchildren,
Blake (Chloe) Sulski, Sarah (Joe) Rehak, and Michael Glasgow; great grandchildren, Jack,
Goldie, Emma, and Olivia; and four grand-dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Ratcliffe; son-in-law, Scott Sulski;
brothers, Anthony, Marvin, Gerald and Teddy; and sisters, Velma and Gertrude.
Marcella was known as a sweet person along with being a good listener. She had many friends
and enjoyed gardening, nature, laughing, going to the beach, dogs, and especially her grand and
great grandchildren. Marcella was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Women’s
Circle, P.E.O., and the Bridge Club. She worked at Carson’s here in Michigan City.
Per Marcella’s wishes, there will be no services.

I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a wonderful women. Her warm smile and her laugh are some of fondest memories. She was a good friend to my mom and me she will be truly missed. She was the only person that could get Terry to dance at our wedding. Terry doesn't dance-let alone the Polka but she showed him! A great person. Thinking of you, Lillian

So sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. You all were such a big part of my childhood. Many memories. She was such a dear friend of my Mom. I remember when I was upset that they were having bologna at David Cook's house I couldn't remember my own phone number so I called yours. She came and picked me up and brought me home. I was about 5 or 6. Please take care. She will always be Mrs. Ratcliffe to me.
