Dakota Parker left a message on December 13, 2023:
I still remember the first time i met him, 3rd or 4th day of school. I was pretty much lost because I was new. Malakai was the first person I saw in the hallway that helped me get to where I needed to go. He showed me where my class was, regardless of him being late to his own class. He was an amazing person who cared about everyone. Thank you for all the good memories Kai...

Malakai was a great person. Even though I only knew him way too briefly we had an amazing time together which we both really enjoyed and these memories made will never be forgotten. He showed me the USA, his school and his life and I am grateful for the time we had. My whole family loved him and we used to play poker or card games or simply through a ball. We will miss him and he will forever be remembered as kind and funny and caring as he was by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. We can’t change what happened but we have to keep our memories in Malakai’s honour. Goodbye Malakai, my friend.

PFC. Brandon Bubalo left a message on December 7, 2023:
I met Malakai on my first drill weekend in the National Guard. We quickly formed a connection, both being senior athletes, in addition to both being students at the career center. We worked together as a team, that the army affectionately calls "Battle Buddies." Everywhere we went, we were together. I remember him so eager to learn about the army traditions, and looking forward to what was to come. I remember going to dinner with him and some of our other battle buddies, laughing and sharing stories. I remember seeing him in the hallway at the career center where he would greet me with a smile say hello, and ask how I've been. I sadly only knew Malakai for a short time, but in that time I got a glimpse of what a funny and caring kid he was. I am going to miss my battle buddy PVT Malakai Siuda. I will never forget him.

Haddy left a message on December 7, 2023:
Once Malakai and I were both swim coaches on the team. We’d spend a good chunk of practice talking while the swimmers do their sets. It got to the point that the head coach told us to tone it down. The conversations we’d have would be random, topics such as paintball, cooking, and even outside life would occur. I got to see him develop maturity, his leadership skills and his personality as my time as a swim coach and swimmer. Seeing all that development, it makes this whole situation feel unreal to me. I offer my biggest condolences I can and apologies. He was a amazing friend.
Rosalie Salentine left a message on December 7, 2023:
I met Malakai through the german exchange program he took part in this past spring. He was such an amazing person and he could always bring a smile to the German students faces and ours. We made amazing memories together as a group and he was a friend to all of us. Praying for the family and close friends. Love, Rosie

I was on the swim team with Malakai last year. Every single day we swam together, in the morning as well as in the afternoon, and saw each other in the hallways. I will always remember Malkai for his jokes and his big heart. He did not hesitate to help other people and was always in a good mood. He is one of the happiest and kindest people I have ever known. I’m lucky to have known him and proud to be able to call him my friend. I will never forget him. Rest in peace dear friend.

I've known Malakai for a little less than a year, and although we weren't close I could tell that he was a great guy. there wasn't ever a bad day with him around. My favorite memories were definitely making the gingerbread house with him, and all of the car rides we had before we went back to school. My favorite will be the day we went for hot chocolate before i was out if school for covid. Malakai will never be forgotten, and will forever and always be in our hearts. I hope that everyone who is hurting during these times are doing okay, and will remember him for all of the great times they had of him instead of their last memory. I hope hes drinking all of the hot chocolate he has ever wanted❤️
