Lois May (Dobkins) Leffler

April 30, 1931 – February 8, 2021

Lois May (Dobkins) Leffler, 89 of LaPorte passed away on Monday February 8th at home surrounded by family. Lois loved watching her grandkids play sports, going camping, bowling, playing bingo and traveling. She was one of the longest members of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

On March 21, 1953, she married Raymond Dobkins, who preceded her in death on December 31, 1999. On June 22, 2002 she married William Leffler, Sr., who preceded her in death on August 29, 2016. Also preceding her in death was daughter, Carol (Dobkins) Reed on October 1, 2003.

Survived by her sons: Raymond Jr. (Jamie), David (Patti), Timothy (Lori), and Jimmy (Jackie) Dobkins; daughters: Donna (Wade) Cornell and Diane (Darryl) Waire; step children: Bill Jr. (Cheryl), Ron (Ester), Jeff (Angie), Marty Leffler and Jackie (Dave) Mannia; 33 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 am – 11 am; Funeral Services at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1237 E Coolspring Ave, Michigan City, IN 46360 with Pastor David R. Solum officiating, burial at Greenwood cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.

I have many happy memories of Lois when we were growing up and time spent at their farm, playing in the hayloft, dressing up in Betty and Lois's formals, swinging in the old tire swing.
