Lois Miller, age 94, passed away on June 29, 2020 in her home at Rittenhouse Village in Michigan City, IN. She was born October 1, 1925 in Lenexa, KS to the late Rev. Christian and Selma Langholz.

Lois was married to Randall C. Miller on June 26, 1948, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded by brothers: Rev. Eugene Langholz and Armin Langholz and their wives.
Lois is survived by her children: Melinda (Ron) Nagle of Trail Creek, Timothy Miller of Michigan City and Amy (Derek) Nowatzki of Mableton, GA; grandchildren: Justin and Gal Andres of Claremont, CA, Christian, Andrew and Jenna Nowatzki of Mableton, GA; brother and sister-in-law Marcus and Janice Langholz of Winchester, VA; special niece and nephew Margie (Mike) Bockover and Robert Schultz; their children and grandchildren; other beloved nieces and nephews along with their children and grandchildren.

Lois was a longtime Michigan City resident. She was co-owner of Miller Tax Service. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild. She was an honorary member of Service League and a member of Exchangettes. She loved to play golf and was an avid bridge player.

Lois’ family would like to thank both Rittenhouse and Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful care of their Mom.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, located at 613 Washington St. Michigan City, IN 46360.
Covid-19 precautions will be followed, with social distancing and face masks required.

Private family services have been entrusted to Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church 818 Franklin St. Michigan City, IN 46360.

Melinda, Tim and Amy - I just learned of your Mother's passing today, or I would have been at the visitation. My deepest condolences to you. Just watched her video tribute which brought back such lovely memories. Lots of familiar faces in those pictures, and of course, the ones taken at your Belmont Court home remind me of all the high school lunches we ate there Melinda! She was a wonderful woman and a good friend to my Mom at St. Paul's and during her time at Rittenhouse. May you find peace and comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead knowing that she rests in the arms of our Lord and Savior. God's blessings to you all! ♥

Melinda, Tim & Amy, So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. My mom so enjoyed her company for the short time she was at Rittenhouse. I was fortunate to be able to visit with her as well. She was always so lovely. May her memory always be a blessing.

Sending prayers and hugs to Melinda, and all of Lois's family. I will miss her dearly, but I do know she is now at peace. It was my pleasure caring for, and talking with Lois over these past years at Rittenhouse. She loved her family so much. She is now your guardian angel watching over all of you. To us it may seem it is now all over. But for Lois, she has now entered Heaven to live in that Kingdom our Saviour has prepared for His Believers. And we know that she is being greeted by Randy who has been preparing for their Life in Eternity. The best part for us is th family and their many friends have fabulous memoirs of Randy and Lois since 1947.. May our Lord welcome and Bless the Millers.
