Judy & I met at the cemetery where our husbands' graves are near each other. We'd go there after the 4:30 Saturday evening Mass at QAS. After the pandemic, I kept watching for Judy at church, but never saw her again. So sorry to hear about her cancer. Just happy that she & Jack are reunited forever. My condolences to the family. Hugs & Prayers.

Mary Neely left a message on April 15, 2023:
Dear Hughes Family, I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Judy. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Judy was a true testament to the love and devotion a mother and grandmother could have for their family. Her love for them was evident in every letter and card she sent me throughout the years. I know how much she cherished her children and grandchildren and how important they were to her. She will forever be remembered as a kind and caring mother and grandmother. Judy was always so kind to me, and I will forever be grateful for her friendship. She had a way of making me feel special and loved, and I will always cherish those memories. Please know that I am here for her family during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family as you navigate this loss. Sincerely, Mary Neely

We truly wish we could be there from Middletown, NY, Jack's hometown, to celebrate Judy's life and support our family. Judy was such a sweet, quiet ,loving woman. Always writing handwritten letters or cards, usually including a photo of her children and grandchildren, including their ages so we were always caught up. It seemed she had not changed a bit in the almost 60 years we've known her. One thing we always joked about was her idiosyncracy of having that little hairclip in the hair over her left forehead to keep it in place for later in the day. It was a loving laugh. ? Judy's home was kept beautifully, decorated with her wonderful taste for timeless items. As for the love of her life it was our brother Jack. Her world revolved around him, and our only solace now is knowing they are embracing in paradise. Our deepest, loving thoughts go to Chad and Judi and sons..Alona, Matt and Scarlett and all family and friends. ? We don't grieve For the one we've lost, we grieve for losing that person. Remember, never goodbye..It's until we meet again ❤️ We love you Judy..
