Juanita Villarruel (nee Campos), age 88, of Lake Station, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

Juanita is survived by her six children: Angela (Max) Duran, Anita (late Danny) Gutierrez, Angel Villarruel Jr., Iris (Jeff) Monnier, Albert Villarruel Sr., Alberta (James) Blondet; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Angel Villarruel Sr.; and grandson, Jaime Villarruel.

Juanita enjoyed going to the gambling boats, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and loved traveling with her husband.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Geisen-Pruzin Funeral & Cremation Services, 6360 Broadway Ave., Merrillville, IN 46410 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Funeral Home with Fr. Jaime Perea officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.

What a wonderful woman. I have been friends with Chris and Joe for over 26 years and I can still remember the first time I met Juanita. Well maybe the second as the first time I met her she stormed into my house and dragged Chris out by the ear, haha! The first time I had the pleasure of talking with her I was fed, I was made to feel welcome and most of all, I was made to feel like I was family. There are all kinds of people in this world and she was the best kind. Thank You for making me feel like family for all these years. May you Rest In Peace!
