Juan Manuel Montes Arceo, age 76, of Lake Station, IN, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Juan is survived by his wife, Estella Montes; children: Maria T. (Ernesto) Loza, Rosa Montes, Veronica Montes, Juan Carlos (Mayra) Montes, Raquel (Dave) Saleh, Jacobo (Roseann) Montes, Silvia Montes; and an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: Jose (Margarita) Montes, Enrique (Alicia) Montes, Dolores (Lupita) Montes, Salvador (Irene) Montes; and sister, Teresa Hernandez.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Maria Montes; children: Ramon Montes, Monica Montes; and brothers: Jacobo Montes, Augustine Montes, Gustavo Montes.

Juan retired from Mid-Continent Coal & Coke as a machine operator. He was a member of Teamsters Local #142. Juan enjoyed dancing and gardening, but above all, loved spending time with his family.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
