Joseph Wojciehowski

Joseph Wojciehowski, age 56, of Lowell, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020.

Joe is survived by his cherished children: Kimberly and Joseph Wojciehowski; ex-wife, Kelly; sisters: Dorothy (Steve) Kovacik, Deb Crawford, Margaret (Michael) Havens and Judy Lomax; brother: James (Terry) Wojciehowski; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Elizabeth Wojciehowski; and sister, Martha Wojciehowski.

Joe worked at Flanders Manufacturing, EAT Enterprise and CNA Insurance Company. He was a Naval Veteran; US Naval Reserves, Petty Officer 3^rd class. Joe received his Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management from St. Josephs College. He was a Highland Little League Baseball Coach, Schererville Soccer Club Board Member and Youth Coach. Joe volunteered his time as a Confirmation and Sunday School Teacher at Dyer United Methodist Church and was currently attending Crown Point Methodist Church.

Joe enjoyed sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He donated blood regularly to the Red Cross. Joe loved his family and friends with his whole heart and he will be missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point, IN. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the children’s education fund at Centier Bank in Kimberly’s name, or to the Mental Health Association.

So sorry to hear, my condolences go out to the family, RIP WoJo

My deepest sympathy to you Kelly, Kimberly, and Joseph. Joe was taken far too soon. You are in my thoughts as prayers and you face these difficult days ahead. May God grant you all the peace and comfort you need.

Joe, you were like a brother to me and we always ended our phone calls or meeting telling each other I love you. You will always live in my heart and memories.. Rest in Peace my friend. I love you. John

I went to grade school and high school with Joe and remember his Mom always helping with the field trips in grade school. Later in years we would catch up on life while riding the train downtown to our jobs. Joe talked highly of his siblings and remembering childhood times in Hammond. He was a great role model for his children that he adored. RIP Joe. Condolences to his siblings and children.

I have known Joe since Kindergarten. He was the most gentle spirited man ive ever known. I will miss our facebook conversations and regret that we were not able to see each other recently. Special prayers to his children. Hold on to the memories of his goofy grin! His children were his greatest treasure.

Though I didn't know Joe in his later life, I knew him in high school and he was a good friend and a great guy. He even attended my wedding. My condolences to his family, especially his children. Just from following him on Facebook, I could tell he loved them and was very proud of them. R.I.P. Joe, you will be missed...
