JOHN V. SULICH age 76 a lifelong resident of Gary passed away Thursday January 8 2009 at Towne Centre Merrillville after a long illness. He was born August 31 1932 in Gary to John and Katherine (Dubnicek) Sulich. He is survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents brother Peter Sulich and sisters Elizabeth Sawyer and Katherine Garnier. John was a retired steelworker from U.S. Steel with 46 years of service a graduate of Emerson High School and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville Sunday January 11 2009 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday January 12 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church 5885 Harrison St. Merrillville with Rev. Dennis Teles officiating. At rest Calvary Cemetery Portage.
