My thoughts are with the Kennedy family at this sad time. Jacks' warm welcoming smile was always a delight. A fond childhood memory I have is from many many years ago. I was six or seven it was Sunday and we were visiting Gramma Lyons when aunt Annes' family came to visit also and we saw Jack in his Marmion uniform for the first time. He was so handsome.

Jack was the essence of what Catholicism is. He was inclusive and always kind to everyone in his path. He walked the talk and served his beloved St. Mary's in grand fashion. He is now with his dear Mary and is truly a St. Mary Legend. We will miss your smiling face. Rest in peace my friend.

Joyce Gertz left a message on January 24, 2021:
Dear Kennedy Family, I met your father in 1970 when I first came to Crown Point. We purchased some furniture from him and found him to be a very charming and wonderful man. He has been a friend to me all these years, encountering him often at mass at St. Mary's. We were ND followers and spoke often about the games. My husband was also a vet from Korean conflict. I treasure your dad's words on the day after my Don passed when I met him at mass. And I give them back to you now, " this will pass and we will be together again with the Lord." God Bless you in this hard year of loss. Joyce Gertz

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Jack. He was my neighbor and friend for many years. Mr. Jack, Mary and I would sit on there deck many evenings and talk. He aways had the best stories to share. He was so kind. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Such a beautiful tribute to an amazing man. After growing up with his kids it was so nice to really get to know Jack every (very early) morning at the YMCA. Such a great great man! Many prayers and blessings to all of his kids.

Jack, with his wit & smile, lit up every room he walked into. He sincerely cared and it showed. His beautiful bride, Mary, and his children & their families, were his favorite subjects to talk about. He loved them and life & he will he missed by so many❤
