Sincere condolences and deepest sympathy on John’s passing from The Denslaw Family. I was fortunate to first meet John in a NW Indiana summer baseball league as a member of a team made up of Gary Tolleston and Gary Edison athletes. Not only was John a great “glove man” in the infield, and a very talented hitter, but he was the best possible teammate, always greeting everyone with that big smile, and always encouraging and helping all of us to improve as a team. Although it has been decades since I last had the opportunity to see or talk to John, I will always appreciate the positive and significant influence that John had upon me as a young kid enjoying summer baseball in “The Region”. May he rest in eternal peace.

So sorry to hear this Debby. Bash was the best coach i ever had. I was on the 1970 World Series team. He loved his players and taught us to play with passion and grit. I'm sure he was the same with his family. A great, great man.
