JoELLEN NICHOLLS (nee Toth), age 66 of Merrillville, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tom; three children: Jon Thomas (Kristin) Nicholls of Charlotte, NC, Ryan Michael Nicholls of Chicago, IL, Sara Katherine (Kevin) Petrites of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren: Jakob, Zoe, Kennedy, Kaden and Riley; brother, Albert (Debbie) Toth of Lake Station; sister, Sandy (Richard) Duff of Pittsburgh, PA; nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Helen Toth. JoEllen was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Merrillville High School, Class of 1964. Jo Ellen was a member of Crown Point Corvette Club. Larry Fugett officiating. Services to conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital.
