Jerry T. Maglish

March 19, 1959 - September 8, 2020

Jerry Maglish, age 61, of Morocco, IN, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his home.

Jerry is survived by his siblings: Leo (Mitzi) Maglish, Larry (Cathy) Maglish, Dan (Connie) Maglish and Lisa (Mike) Mikulich; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leo & Marilyn Maglish; and brother, John.

Jerry was a graduate of Crown Point High School, class of 1977. He worked at Tri-Creek Lumber & Hardware in Lowell, and previously for Schilling and Henderlong lumber companies. Jerry enjoyed fishing and planning vacations for the family.

Per Jerry’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held with arrangements entrusted to Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point.

Barb and I are so deeply saddened to hear of Jerrys passing. Jerry was the most compassionate, kindest, generous person I have ever met in my 61+ years.I'd like to share a memory of Jerry with you.I was building a fence in my backyard and Jerry was helping me with a 2 man post hole digger.After we dug a few holes my son Andy, who was 5 years old at the time, would dig around the loose dirt in the holes. I said "Andy, what are you doing?" He replied "I'm looking for buried treasure."Shortly after, Jerry told me to distract Andy. As I did, Jerry reached in his pocket and dumped all his change into the previous hole.Andy went to work digging around, and says. "look Dad heres a dime, and heres a quarter" Even though he only found $1.50 you would have thought he found a million dollars. Well played Jerry. I couldn't have asked for a better friend.

We both have such happy memories of Jerry; he was a great, thoughtful guy. Blessings to all.

Great guy...He truly will be missed...great friend and true to his word...his passing is living proof that God cares for us all..may knowing that he is with God now be a comfort to his family and friends..
