In Loving Memory of James Wayne Barozzini
James Wayne Barozzini (Jim/Buzzy), the man with the charm that could sell ice to an Eskimo and make you crack a smile in the gloomiest of times, passed away on September 1, 2023, leaving behind a lifetime of unforgettable moments. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 24, 1945, Jim was a true adventurer, living life on the edge and never turning down a gamble.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife Sharon Barozzini, and his two children and daughter-in-law, Kerry Barozzini (Jenni) and Kenna Barozzini. His granddaughters, Alycia and Ella, where the light of his life. He also shared a special bond with his loyal canine companion, Leo, who was his constant source of joy.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbi and Armelindo Barozzini, his brother, Richard Barozzini Sr., and his pups, Billy and Jake. He is also remembered fondly by his brother-in-law, Jim Brix, sister-in-law, Brenda Barozzini, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and two great-great-nephews, all of whom he adored.
Jim was always making everyone laugh, even when they shouldn’t. He learned early on that Wayne State University couldn’t contain his larger-than-life personality for long, but he did spend a solid 40 years in the automotive industry, where he could sell anything, including your own car back to you.
Jim’s journey led him through different states, including Michigan, Kentucky, Missouri, and California, but ultimately it was Indiana that he proudly called home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to the Michiana Humane Society, a cause dear to Jim’s heart.
