James “Jim” W. White age 64 of Hebron, IN passed away Monday, August 9, 2004 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point, IN He is survived by his wife Sandra of 42 years 3 Children: Kim Bob Sheets of Hebron Gary Sheryl White of Hebron Tracy J.R. Rasmussen of Lake Village 6 Grandchildren: Allison, Kevin & Adam Sheets; Brooke & Logan White; J. D. Rasmussen 2 Sisters: Virginia B. Interment will be at the Hebron Cemetery in Hebron, IN Friends may call at the Geisen Funeral Home 624 N. Main St. Hebron, IN on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM James was born June 24, 1940 in Pikeville, TN. He graduated from Bledsoe County High School in 1959. He retired from LTV Steel in 2000 with 36 years of service. Jim enjoyed golf, bowling, traveling, spending time with his family and the Chicago Cubs. He belonged to the Hebron Lions Club and several golf leagues. Memorials may be given to Hebron Lions Club.

Uncle Jim will be sadly missed. He was a wonderful husband,father,grandpa,friend, and uncle.Uncle Jim and Aunt Sandy were always visiting family and forever spreading cheer, and at your side in time of need. All of us have great memories to carry us through until we unite in heaven. Uncle Jim was always a kind soft spoken peacemaker that will surely be one of the Lord's Ambassadors.

I remember sitting in the living room of the house in Leroy, playing Monopoly, and listening to Jim and Sandy's Cat Stevens albumns... Kimmy Sue was my first girlfriend and her family was the first that I made friends with as an individual. There haven't been any visits in 20-some years, but I've always kept the family close to my heart...even driving down Clay Street to see if I can spot the old house. I sure am sorry to hear about Jim. I really enjoyed the times I spent golfing and socializing with him. He was a true friend to everyone.

I'm sorry to say we missed the artical yesterday because I would have been their to pay my respects. I'm sitting here thinking of all the great times Karen and I had with the two of you at Hebron Lanes for all the years we bowled, its a shame my path took us in a different direction the last 10 years, because we both miss our freinds in Hebron, and Jim was one of the best friends I had or will ever have.
