James “Jim” D. Kristinat, age 80 of Calumet Township, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021.

Jim is survived by three children: Jim (Jan) Kristinat, Debbie (Bob) Ludlum, and Robert Kristinat; four grandchildren: James and Whitney Kristinat, Pamela Miller, and Tony Ludlum; five great-grandchildren: Autumn, Matthew, Kayden, Kailey, and Collin; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. Preceded in death by wife, Flora Kristinat; parents, August and Gladys Kristinat; two brothers, Richard (Frances) Kristinat and August Kristinat.

Jim had a passion for driving. He was a cab driver, truck driver, and would do anything that involved driving. He was an Air Force Veteran.

A private Memorial Service for Jim was held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from Pruzin Brothers Chapel (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) with Pastor Terry Sprouse officiating. Memorials preferred to the family.

We love you and miss you, we will never forget you

Jim...For the longest time you were a great brother-in-law . I know how much you loved my sister, and she, you. Thank you for being a great uncle to my girls, and and being a part of our family. Thank you for all the great times and introducing us to Las Vegas where we found a new life...RIP

So many good memories! Along with Grandma and Grandpa Renicker, Aunt Flo and Uncle Jim were the closest relatives my sister and I had growing up. So loved! The tickles and pokes of course will always be remembered. How we'd get to sit on his lap and let us feel like we were driving when we were little kids. Always making me laugh. Still remember the smell of your cologne! So grateful you were my Uncle. Wouldn't trade you for the world! Glad you're going to be together with Aunt Flo again but surely will be missed! Will be with you again someday. Until then, will forever have great memories. I love you!

Uncle Jim. I can’t believe this day has come. I’ve thought about you every day since Aunt Flo left us and will continue to miss both of you every day moving forward. So many memories from bbq’s, swimming in the pool, pinch fights, Saturday night poker with John’s pizzeria. There are just too many to list them all. You were so loved and will be missed by many. Say hello to Aunt Flo for me. Love you

Jim was my brother in law, a co worker and friend. He was a good man, and very much loved by my children. I will remember him fondly.
