I met Jim and Marian at Lake Vermilion this summer, and was instantly taken with their kindness. I am sorry I was not acquainted with them sooner, to be able to enjoy their company longer. The lake will not be the same without Jim's presence, and those who knew him will miss him dearly. I hope that Marian and her family will continue to visit us at the lake and let us be a part of their summers.

I was so saddened when I learned today of Uncle Tim's passing. You all were always special to me. You made such a great family and were so nice to others. I know the adjustment will be difficult but I hope you can soon turn the grieving to pleasant memories and a celebration of what you had together. Best wishes to you all.

Carol Erny left a message on November 9, 2005:
To all the Eloff family, Tim was a very special person in Terry's and my life. Terry spent much time with your entire family and loved you all, and always spoke fondly of the great fishing memories he had. I think Tim was part of the nickname brigade that gave everyone in the family an appropriate nickname. I remember Rab was one, but the other ones escape me. I know that there are no words that can comfort, but I want you to know that you're all in my prayers. I am sorry for your loss.

Dear Jim & Family, My family offers condolences to you and your family. We understand the loss and offer kindness. TPS is sending a Rubber Tree plant as a symbol of positive rememberence. Please take the plant home and nuture it. Every time you pass by think of a good moment or quality characteristic about your father. It works for me and helps to offer comfort for the future. God Bless, Rich, Linda and the Girls

The only thing that comes to mind is that this totally sucks. Uncle Tim was always GREAT to me. The one good thing out of this, is that my Grandpa Spider will have someone to fish with. I love all of you and you all are in my thoughts.
