We are heartbroken to learn of Jim’s passing. He was such a wonderful man. Rest in peace and know that someday we will be able to discuss the Purdue Football Team again. Perhaps put in a good word for them up there! We will miss you dear friend. ❤️

So sorry for your family's loss. Jim came to my rescue several times when I had plumbing emergencies. He was an expert in his field, while being very "down to earth." His presence in the community will be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Janet Hortyk left a message on December 11, 2023:
My thoughts go out to the entire family of Jim. He always took such great care of my parents plumbing needs. John & Rosemary Hortyk always could count on Jim to do whatever was needed to help them out. Once my Dad passed, Jim continued his loyalty and goodness with my Mom. 2 years ago, I worked very carefully with Jim to repair a shower situation while I was in town. He spent 2 days working so hard to do what needed to be repaired & installed. May all of you find peace & encouragement knowing that your Dad was pretty darn special to so many. He will be definitely be missed. Sincerely, Janet Hortyk

Please accept my most sincere condolences. Mr. Wirtz was a Giant in the community. Growing up in Crown Point, he was everywhere. Humble, smart, educated, dedicated to his family, St. Mary’s, and Crown Point. We were blessed to have him as a servant-leader in our community. He will be greatly missed.
