Jacob Wayde Sandridge, age 23, of Merrillville, IN., passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 due to injuries from a tragic automobile accident.

Jacob is survived by his parents: John & Shawn Sandridge; siblings: Michael (Shawna) Sandridge, Kayla Sandridge and Eli Sandridge; niece, Eliza Sandridge; two nephews: Leon & Kobe Sandridge; paternal grandfather, John Sullivan; aunt, Debra Kerr; uncle, Kenneth Nelson; aunt, Shavon Hawthorne; uncle, David Hawthorne; cousin, Brianna Stitsworth; “brother”, Alec Haring; his precious dog, Coco; and his many close friends.

Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Bertha Sandridge; and maternal grandmother, Geraldine Hawthorne.

Jacob was raised in Merrillville, IN. He attended Iddings Grade School, M.I.S., Clifford Pierce Middle School and graduated from Merrillville High School, Class of 2018. Jacob enjoyed reading, drawing, playing chess, boxing and traveling. His favorite trip was with his Dad to Italy after graduating high school, where he fell in love with the culture, history and food. Jacob was a deep thinker and highly opinionated. He was a private person who really loved his family. Some of Jacob’s favorite times were at home with his family around a dinner table, sharing good food and conversation. He will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Geisen-Pruzin Funeral & Cremation Services have been entrusted with arrangements.
