David Geisler left a message on August 30, 2022:
Jack, ably assisted by Carole, was the best man at Char and my '82 wedding and that was just the tip of the iceberg. He was a lifelong (once we hooked up at Valpo) friend and a joy for everyone who had the honor and pleasure to have ever crossed his path.
Thomas Driver left a message on August 28, 2022:
Very sad to see this. I had the pleasure of working with Jack at two financial institutions. Jack was a good banker and a wonderful family man. My condolences to Carol and family.
Mark Bates left a message on August 23, 2022:
My thoughts and prayers to the Esala family in the passing of Jack. Jack was our commercial banker at Centier for many years. He was a strong family man, and civic minded in the community. May God provide comfort and healing hearts to all he leaves behind.

So sorry for your loss of a fine first cousin of mine. I remember Jacky as a robust little boy when the family returned from three years in Australia in 1951, visited the family in West Hollywood, FL, Rush Lake,Mn and at Pike/Sandy & Lake Vermilion, MN. Thank you for his Vietnam service.
Jim Hensley left a message on August 22, 2022:

I first met Jack in 1968 when we pledged the same fraternity together. I have so many fond memories of him: living in the house, bowling, golfing, enlisting in the Army, returning to Valpo to finish school, painting houses, his marriage to Carole, among many others. He was a great guy and a wonderful friend. He will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him.

Tim and Diane Esala left a message on August 18, 2022:
Jack was a great guy, a strong Christian, a great cousin (left-handed but not underhanded), and an honest and truthful man. He will be missed by many. We go back a very long way and I do not remember anyone saying a bad word about Jack. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Carole and the Esala families. Jack finished his race and was met by his Savior at the finish line with the words "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." We will all reunite in our heavenly home when we all have run our races.
