Herman “Rodney” Reed

Herman “Rodney” Reed, age 78, of Hebron, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

Rodney is survived by his children: Rodney W. Reed, Bobbie (Bill) Markul, John (Cheryl) Levrio, Debbie Sherman, Cassie (Randy) Bell; grandchildren: William Markul (Tre’), Jeanie Chambers, Elizabeth (Tom) Wilder, Andrea (Matt) Zurbriggen, Becky Sherman, Michael Sherman, Jamie (Tim) White, Krystal (Dennis) Porter; great-grandchildren: Savannah, Annabel, Colton, Chloe, Marty, Brooklin, Vronika, Ryker, Nikholet, Emilee, Kylee; brothers: David W. Reed, Kenneth E. (Phoebe) Reed; sister, Rebecca Gibson; many nieces and nephews; and very good friends: Dan and Denise Warren, Terry and Donna Norris.

Rodney was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine M. Reed; parents: Herman W. and Olive L. Reed.

Rodney was a retired steelworker from Inland Steel’s Inch Mill with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed traveling all over the country with his wife. Rodney also loved bowling, gardening, and being outdoors around his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was also proud to be asshole number one in the neighborhood asshole club.

Services are entrusted to Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
