HELEN M. HOMEIER age 84 and a lifetime resident of Crown Point passed away Tuesday January 25 2011. She is survived by: five daughters: Sharon Butler of Crown Point Shirley Esboldt of Crown Point Sandy (Greg) Peyovich of Crown Point Sue (David) Bledsoe of East Lansing MI Sarah (Herman) Eickleberry of Valparaiso 10 grandchildren: Tammy (Phil) Shoppa Terri (Mike) Cornell Ron (Niki) Leighty Deanna (Chris) Nowakowski Amanda (Rob) Maynard Rachel Peyovich and friend Angel Michael (Michelle) Bledsoe Andrew Bledsoe Laura (Shane) Scott Erin Eickleberry 13 great grandchildren sisters-in-law: Jackie White Florence Boe and Lilly Homeier many nieces and nephews special cousin: George (Janice) Ormsby. Preceded in death by husband: Melvin brother: Clarence BudWhite sister: Josephine Bennett. Helen was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crown Point where she taught Sunday School and participated in the choir for 20 years. She was a member of L.W.M.L and Ladies AID Secretary of Branch #953 of Thrivent for Lutherans She was a volunteer at Wittenberg Lutheran Village and enjoyed crafts bingo traveling the Chicago Cubs and family reunions. A graduate of Crown Point High School class of 1945. Friends and Family may call at Pruzin and Little Funeral Service 811 East Franciscan Drive Crown Point on Friday January 28 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday January 29 2011 DIRECTLY at 11:00a.m. from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with a one hour visitation prior to service 250 S. Indiana with Rev. Lothar Thoelke and Rev. David Kipp officiating. At rest Calumet Park.

Dear Second Cousins and families aka the 5 Ss as your parents always signed the Christmas card Melvin Helen and the 5 Ss. You have my deepest sympathy regarding the passing of your mother. I remember her warm bright smile and the good times we had at picnics in your backyard and playing red rover over the garage roof the cat pudn.
