H. Robert “Bob” Stewart, age 81, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Bob is survived by his wife, Paula Jean Stewart (nee Morgan); children: Jean Stewart, Colleen (Christopher) Tiernan, Scott (Kimberly) Stewart; and grandchildren: Kaylee Stewart, Sarah Tiernan, Zach Stewart, Terry Busse, Colin Busse, Ryan Tiernan, Grace Tiernan, Jacob Stewart.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents: H. Robert and Loretta Stewart (nee Thompson).

Bob worked as a Crane Operator at Bethlehem Steel for 36 years. He was a 31 years member of Gary Sportsman Club before being a board member for 11 years. Bob enjoyed golfing, watching the Cubs, and spending time with his family and friends. He played in both the Frickie’s Golf League for 25 years and the Sportsman’s Golf League. Bob also coached for Pups basketball, CP Little League, and Babe Ruth baseball teams. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral Prayers will be said at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 E. Joliet Street, Crown Point, IN 46307 with Fr. Kevin Huber officiating. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Crown Point, IN.
