Frankie Ray was my first cousin. After my older brother was killed, he became like my big brother. I was 12 years old and he would say. "Come on Squirrel, let"s go to the store." He had this old blue car, there was no power steering, and my feet barely reached the pedals. I was scared as could be. But he would look at me grinning. "You got this Squirrel." So there we went flying under the underpass to Bolton Avenue. He helped me to have courage and confidence in myself. He always talked about bringing the first Black Radio Station to Alexandria. I miss him and look forward to talking with him again. To Eric and Monique, and grand children, his Brothers and Sisters, Nieces and nephews, and cousins. My deepest sympathy and love to you all. Just remember that you will see that smile again. (John 11:43, 44)

To my big brother: How do you thank someone that’s taken you from “ crayons to cologne”? Webster has no words that will substantiate or satisfy my heart. You taught me so much about life and how to appreciate and be respectful along the way. Had you not been the person you were I would not be the man I am today. From a child to a boy to a man. All these lessons that I learned from you will always and forever be appreciated. I thank God for the person you were. So much of what I learned from you I was able to teach to my children and grandchildren. Having a big brother that was also a true best friend was a blessing. So I’ll simply say, thank you. I love you and Godspeed. Larry Burns aka “J Henry Esquire “

Frank had a tough battle but never complained, he was always positive! I loved serving with him at Eastlake as a greater, Frank was a staple in that ministry. I always appreciated his smile, and how warm he was to everyone.

Our hearts are saddened, we were blessed by being neighbors for five years. We laughed, and shared many stories, homemade dinners and desserts. He looked forward to our annual trip to the car show, knowing he was getting his favorite maple nut “Ryba’s fudge” brought back to him. I will never forget him telling me the years he had left, he wanted to enjoy his “Golden Years”. He fought a good fight, and God seen he was getting tired from fighting the bull. Rest In Peace Frank ?? Our deepest sympathies

To the Burns Family--I had the pleasure and honor of taking care of Mr. Burns. He was such a gentle man, with few words, but with a kindness and peace that was felt by all. I have rarely met a man so at peace with going home. His son, Eric, spoke with love and respect to his father each and every time. I will always remember their bond. Sincerely, Soni Smith
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I'm sorry to hear that Mr. Frank had passed away. I worked with him at Hanscom AFB. We always talked about "down home" cooking. What a nice and gentle man he was. My prayers to you and your family. Perhaps life is but a journey leading to the perfect home. (Author unknown)

Frank was a light humor and understanding- I worked with him for a number of years in Nashua, NH and always his company and quick wit. I am sure that I speak for all of us who worked with him when I say that Frank was a special person who lit up the room!
