Florence Gaskey

FLORENCE GASKEY (nee Fedorchak) age 80 of Merrillville passed away Saturday January 10 2009. Survived by 4 children: Cynthia Gaskey Rega of Tinley Park IL Keith R. (Tina) Gaskey of Tinley Park IL Kevin M. (Josephine) Gaskey of Long Grove IL and Debbie (Dennis) Turner of Dyer 5 grandchildren: Melissa (Brian) Long Matthew Brandon Logan & Jessica Gaskey and several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by husband Raymond parents George & Mary Fedorchak 3 brothers: George Michael & John Fedorchak and two sisters: Ann Kupka and Eleanor Panella. Mrs. Gaskey was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Churches she sang with the St. Andrew Church Choir and she attended mass daily. Florence was a graduate of Tolleston High School Class of 1946 and was a retired teachers aide from Pierce & Harrison Jr. High School. She bowled with a Stardust Bowling League and enjoyed cooking baking and playing cards and board games. Florence and her husband Ray loved to travel the open roads in their R.V. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville on Tuesday from 2-8 P.M. with a prayer service at 5:30 P.M. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 14 2009 at 9:30 A.M. from the Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 A.M. from St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (801 W. 73rd Ave. Merrillville) with Rev. Brian Chadwick & Rev. Andrew Corona officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery.
