Dear Ruth,Terry, and Jeanne, I Loved Gene and will miss him. I grew-up knowing him like an uncle. I always understood him. I guess that's what happens when you grow-up knowing someone from the time I was a baby. He always said he remembered me throwing pablum everywhere when I was a baby. My mom Flo was short and Gene would always kid her about the dust on the top of her refrigerator. He was a great kidder, as you all know loved to argue any subject, and had a generous Heart. He was my Dad's best friend. Gene always said my dad Pat was always getting him in trouble. Ruth, God Bess You, I Love you and know you will miss Gene very much. You are a very special Lady. Terry and Jeanne, I remember you both before you were born and watched you grow. Your Dad was one of a few real characters in this world that stands out with the Best. I'm sure you there will never be another like him. Your memories and stories to tell your children and their children will keep your Dad's memory alive. My sincere condolences to all of you. I wish I could hold and hug you all and comfort you in your sorrow. Ruth, I'm not sure when I'll be back to Indiana, but you can be sure I'll be getting in touch with you when I do.
