I met Erik through his restaurant Melt Kitchen. We became friends and through his Facebook page I learned quickly of his work in the community. He was very proud of his wife and the things they accomplished. He was a hero to the community and gave so selflessly. He was an amazing chef and created the most delicious food. Everyone should aspire to have the kind of heart Erik has. Much love and prayers to his beautiful wife and their whole family. May God comfort you and peace during this time and may you find comfort in knowing that God gained a beautiful soul. The whole community is here for you all. God Bless you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I’m sorry I cannot be in person to attend. But I will always the memories we shared together. Today I will rock to your favorite bands. As that is how I remember you. Singing along to the songs you loved. Rest easy my friend. I hope one day we will take a ride in your yellow nova again, singing out the windows at the top of our lungs.

Erik was a blessing in so many ways to me, from the time I met him when he was a little boy, thru so many different times of our lives and he always had his beautiful smile and made me laugh, even at a time I didn't want to but he knew I needed to. His heart was big and caring, and he worried about everybody else first instead of himself. I would enjoy reading his stories on FB, especially about the cats...he was not well, he was in pain and now he is free from all that. Thank you GOD and RIP Erik.

Erik was a good guy and was a kid at heart. He had love for cooking early on and boy could he cook! Always worked so hard and did whatever it took to get the job done. It's incredibly sad and shocking to say the least. It really puts things into perspective and shows us how life is so incredibly precious. R.I.P Erik.

Oh Erik! You were such a gift to mankind! Tim and I so admired all your hard work you did for the community and for those less fortunate. Your silly Facebook stories about Spooky and Shamus always brought a smile to my face. Even when you were suffering your Christian nature would shine through like a bright star. May God's Peace be with your family, now during these most difficult days and in the future as well. This world needs more people like Erik Tannehill. You will certainly be missed. Lori and Tim Mellen
Peggy Wolf left a message on June 2, 2023:
Erik will be sorely missed by all of us. Tannehill's were as family and especially church family. Singing in Praise Band at St. Paul's and looking out in the pew and seeing Erik praising God, as well as all his soup-kitchen cooking, as well as cooking for all us friends, and the work he did with the community; what a loving talented caring humble sweet soul. Erik is HOME and is awaiting us all to join him, when God calls each of us HOME. The Tannehill's are a STRONG family who give glory to God with their love and friendship and service. Rest in Peace, Erik and God is saying to you "well done my good and faithful servant". God's blessings and peace and strength to all the family. Peg
