When I started in the petroleum and chemical industry my first job was with Consolidated. I was very new to this type of work and I remember very well the people that worked with me and taught me the tricks of the trades. Ed would show up unannounced to the job to check to see how things were going and if we needed anything. We happened to be working on a water boiler and Ed took the time to teach me how to properly roll the tubes and roll the ends up against the tube sheet. Thank you Ed for being a good mentor to craft workers in the trades. Ed and people like him are hard to find nowadays. Rest in peace Ed !

Ed was a fantastic friend and mentor. I learned a lot from his stories and actions. He was always one to help out in a situation as opposed to being critical. If I recall correctly he loved his Bacardi and coke! I know he loves his wife, Carol, and was always talking about his kids and grandchildren. I’ll miss Ed and look forward to fishing with him in the next life where the fish are bigger and tastier! Cheers!

I have fond memories of the canoe trips we went on with Eddie and Carol down on Sugar Creek years ago. Will not forget Eddie taking a nap when we were done in the HOT tent in the blazing afternoon sun! R. I. P. Cuz!

So sorry to hear the devastating news of Ed’s passing. Carol, you and Ed were such an important part of our family. Each of my kids, Dan, Ellie and Elissa send their condolences as well. May the memory of Ed’s birthday celebration give you comfort. As the years have passed I still remember my Dad telling me how much he enjoyed having all his kids together for a big Mother’s Day celebration. It meant so much to him. And the next night he was gone. I think of him often and always remember his last joyous day on earth. It gives me such comfort. You and your family are in our prayer. Deanna
