My thoughts and prayers are with the Reardon family. I have fond memories of Ed and the too few times we spent together. He was always there with a smile and some encouraging words....delivered in his own special way. I especially remember a trip to the 100th running of the Ky derby with Ed, Gas Man and Bob Hettinger. His warmth and Spirit will live on in me forever. May he rest in Peace.

Frank J. Fahey, III left a message on October 29, 2004:
Ed plays a central role in one of my earliest memories of ND. My family was living in Vetville. I remembered visiting a friend's brother with polio at the Northern Indian Children's Hospital. In the early 70's, I realized the brother was Ed. From the time I was 4 until my 50's, Ed has always been Notre Dame to me. He never lacked the time to engage in a kind word, a bittersweet remembrance, or celebrating the joy of life. My life was better because of Ed

To Eddie, Allie, Di and the Reardon Family; I'm remembering some of the good times I shared with Ed while he was part of our family. I believe that's what Ed would have wanted. Many of the good times revolved around the kids, family functions, holidays, birthdays, and some great meals. Ed was always willing to listen to a problem, or contribute some upbeat advice, and you always knew that he was genuinely concerned. It was all about Family for Ed, and I will always respect and remember that about him. God Bless You, Uncle Bob Di's Brother
